Phosphate Buffered Saline Concentrate (PBSC)
This is a 25x concentrate of the PBSS product. The diluted working reagent gives a pH and osmolarity as above and it is desirable to use reverse osmosis water as the diluent. However, sulfamethoxazole, trimethoprim and sodium azide are incorporated into the concentrate and de-ionised water can be used.
The reagent must be stored at room temperature and has a 4 year shelf life from the date of manufacture.
